Canvas Painting- Tulips

Tulips- Acrylic on Canvas 16x20

Hi and welcome again.....
It took me a few days to put up something new....but as you can see I was working on this!!!
A few days back, i was browsing through some photographs on the internet when i came across this gorgeous photograph of Tulips....They just captured my attention.....I knew i had to do something for them!!!
The credit here goes to the photographer who took this mesmerizing picture, don't you agree??

So, finally i decided that canvas painting could do them the maximum justice......
I like working with acrylic paints, so i have used them for this painting......And.....It turned out pretty well......
I am quite glad i took up this project, as i am very happy with the results.....
Now I have put up this painting in my kitchen and it just brightens up the place :)

DIY Denim Painting

Denim Painting

Hi...Today i would like to show you the pair of jeans that i painted for my niece.....
My cute little niece is a tomboy who loves flowers, so while thinking of a gift for her, i narrowed down to painting flowers on her jeans!! :)

I grabbed my bottles of fabric colors, armed myself with brushes and got down to work......I started working freehand directly on the jeans.....The flowers bloomed first followed by the branches and then those teensy- weeny leaves........Then came out my 3d outliners......I am so in love with 3d outliners that they feature in most of my works!! The tiny blue flowers and the floral definitions were done last with the outliners....
The whole piece turned out cuter than i expected.....and the best part of it.....my niece totally adored it!!
Hope you like it too :)

Bride on a Box !!!

Bride on a Box

Hi and welcome again....
Today i would like to share with you how i made this bride on a jewellery box ....
Actually this was a wooden perfume box that i upscaled into a jewellery box and gifted it to my sister during her wedding...this was part of her "Rukhwat" or the bridal display of gifts from the mother's side....
The theme blended quite well with her wedding.....
First i sanded the box to make it smooth and then painted it all over with acrylic color- black....Then i got out my pack of air drying clay and started moulding the bride part by part over the box itself...When she was complete, i left her to dry for a day......I was too tired after all the effort, so while she rested i rested too!!
Next day, with renewed zeal i got back to work on the bride again.....I wanted the bride to look happy, so i chose all the bright acrylic colors for her clothes.....I painted her part by part and let her dry for a few hours....Then i took out my 3d outliners and gave detailing to her outfit....Finally i painted her face, hands and feet and gave facial features for that smiling bridal face.....This coy and dressed up bride sure made my sis smile!!!
Last but not the least i put a satin lining inside the box to make soft interiors....After all the box was meant to store jewelry!!
